Spend any time lately thinking perhaps dealing DeRosa is going to come back and bite the Cubs in the behind this season? Time will tell. But hearing the Sox announcers mention it today, as well as reading this article in the New York Times about DeRosa’s value to Team USA got me thinking again, you know what…maybe it will…check it out.

Yeah, when I found out Hendry had traded DeRo for three minor league prospects I couldn’t believe it. This definately was a trade that will hurt the team, especially with Mark coming off a career year.
Because the Cubs have such a great lineup, I still believe they’ll do well this year, but if DeRo was still on the team, I think we’d do so much better.
Personally as an Indians fan I hope the Derosa trade comes back to bite y’all. So far it is looking like it might but we will have to see.

Depends on how the minor league prospects do. Trades are always properly evaluated with much time, like Presidents. 🙂

Two or three years ago we wouldn’t have been saying this about DeRosa. Last was a wonder to me. It might just have been one of those career years. It could also be the year jumpstarts the hitter into great things.
